SHIPPING POLICY

Professor Monstera Shipping & Delivery Policy
Free Shipping Offers
Enjoy free shipping on eligible orders that meet the following requirements:

  • Offer 1: Orders valued over $250 and weighing under 10 kg (cubic or actual weight) qualify for free standard shipping.
    Excludes WA, TAS, and Far North QLD.

  • Offer 2: Orders valued over $450 and weighing under 25 kg qualify for free standard shipping.
    Excludes WA, TAS, and Far North QLD.

If your order exceeds these limits, regular shipping fees will apply to the entire shipment.
Customers may choose to split large orders into multiple shipments to take advantage of free-shipping thresholds. Free shipping cannot be back-dated or refunded once an order is placed.
Shipping Options
You can select either Standard Post or Express Post during checkout.
For live plants, we strongly recommend Express Post at all times to ensure faster transit and reduce plant stress.
All consignments are sent Authority To Leave (ATL) unless Signature on Delivery is chosen at checkout. Please ensure there is a safe and shaded area for delivery. Once a parcel is marked delivered, we cannot assist further.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are generally packed and dispatched within 24–72 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).
To protect live plants in transit:

  • Live plants are shipped only on Mondays and Tuesdays.
    Orders placed later in the week may be held until the following Monday to prevent weekend hold-ups in courier depots.

  • Non-plant items (nutrients, accessories, etc.) may be shipped any weekday.

If you require urgent dispatch, please contact our team before ordering to confirm availability.
Estimated Delivery Times
Typical delivery timeframes from our Hunter Valley, NSW facility:

  • NSW / ACT / VIC / QLD (metro): 2–5 business days

  • SA / Regional East Coast: 5–10 business days

  • WA / TAS / Far North QLD: 10–25 business days

These are estimates only and may vary with courier delays or weather events. Once a parcel is in the hands of the courier, delivery times are outside our control.
Regional & Rural Deliveries
Customers in remote or rural regions are encouraged to contact us before ordering.
Shipping to these areas may take longer, and live plant viability can be affected by extended transit times.
Professor Monstera cannot be held responsible for courier delays once orders have left our facility.
Packaging & Handling
Every plant is carefully packed in a secure, moisture-controlled environment to ensure safe arrival.
While we take great care to protect your order, we are not liable for courier mishandling or environmental factors outside our control once in transit.
Returns & Refunds

  • Live Plants: Due to their perishable nature, returns and exchanges are not accepted on any live plants once dispatched.

  • Non-Plant Items: Returns are accepted for unused and unopened nutrient or accessory products within 7 days of delivery.
    Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Refunds will only be processed once the returned item has been received and inspected.
Delivery Issues
In the rare event of a lost or mis-delivered parcel, we will liaise with Australia Post to investigate.
This process can take up to 10 business days. Once confirmed as lost or irrecoverable, we will work with you for the best possible resolution.
Please ensure your shipping details are correct before finalising your order. Orders returned due to incorrect addresses or inaccessible delivery locations (locked apartments, PO Boxes, etc.) may incur additional re-delivery charges.
International Shipping
We currently do not ship live plants or products outside Australia.
Transparency in Freight Pricing
We do not profit from shipping fees.
All freight charges reflect the actual rates offered by our couriers, with no additional markup or handling fees.

Professor Monstera Returns & Refunds Policy
Live Plants

Due to the delicate and perishable nature of live plants, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or change-of-mind refunds on any plant purchases once they have left our facility.
Every plant is photographed and inspected before dispatch to ensure it leaves in excellent health and accurately represents the listing description.
Please note:

  • Once in transit, environmental factors such as heat, cold, courier delays, or handling are outside our control.

  • We package all plants securely and with moisture protection, but cannot guarantee identical appearance upon arrival due to stress from shipping.

If your plant arrives in poor condition due to courier mishandling, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of the packaging and plant so we can review your case promptly.
Non-Plant Items (Nutrients, Accessories, Kits)
We accept returns for unused and unopened non-plant products within 7 days of delivery, provided they are in their original packaging and resaleable condition.
To initiate a return:

  1. Email our team with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Once approved, return the item using a trackable shipping method at your own expense.

  3. Upon receipt and inspection, a refund for the product price only will be processed to your original payment method.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an incorrect or damaged non-plant product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.
We will either replace the product or refund the product value after verification.
Exclusions
We cannot accept returns or refunds for:

  • Live plants (unless under review for courier mishandling)

  • Opened or used nutrient bottles, supplements, or additives

  • Items returned without prior authorisation

  • Orders exceeding the return timeframe

Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days of receiving the returned item.
Refunds are issued for the product price only and exclude original or return shipping charges.
